  • Government and Military moving to Lithium Battery Solution!

A Lithium-ion battery is by far the battery of choice today. Advancements in lithium-ion battery technology make them affordable, small, light-weight and able to meet the punishing power needs of today’s hi-tech, ranging from electric powertrains in auto and marine vehicles and alternative energy storage requirements of solar and wind power generation to portable and wearable devices.
OEM solutions and custom applications are benefiting from revolutionary smaller, thinner, higher capacity, more flexible and safer batteries while reducing costs.

what are the differences between lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries?

A lithium-ion battery (Li-ion battery) is a rechargeable battery in which lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. One of the most popular types of rechargeable batteries for portable electronics, with a high energy density, small memory effect and only a slow loss of charge when not in use. Popular for military, battery electric vehicle and aerospace applications
A lithium polymer battery - lithium-ion polymer battery (Li-Po, LIP, Li-poly….), is a rechargeable battery in a pouch format. LI-POs come in a soft package or pouch, making them lighter but also less rigid. Lithium polymer uses a polymer electrolyte instead of the more common liquid electrolyte. LI-PO allows thin, flexible, different shapes manufacturing, with lower energy density, longer lives and much safer.

Do not forget about the disposal of batteries. This is an important question.
