Robotic exoskeleton in Japan

Exoskeletons allow the wearers carry much heavier loads than a normal human capacity allow while performing a wide range of movements at the same time. You have probably seenthe news about military versions being developed before. Now it seems, Japanese are developing these suits for everyday use. The principal mechanism to make these suits work involves sensors at each joint getting data from the wearer’s movements and amplifying the force. To make these suits truly commercial, there are still some obstacles, such as better power supply management, weight and size of suit, allowable range of motions and of course the cost. Once these factors be pulled to within commercially reasonable limits, these suits may cause a small revolution in fields such as construction, agriculture and many other fields that require ongoing human effort.
