Honda working on robot control by thought alone


Tokyo, Japan: During a demonstration performed at Honda Tokyo headquarters, Japanese scientists showed that the company’s famous ASIMO robot can be controlled by thought patterns alone.The person sitting still and wearing a helmet which measures it’s the electrical currents at person’s scalp as well as the cerebral blood flow. A live demonstration is still not possible however, due to possible distractions in person’s thoughts. Honda says the technology is still in the basic research stage and currently far away from any near future applications.
