ABB’s new robot has human proportions

Swiss robot manufacturer ABB has just come up with a new industrial robot designed to help human workers in assembly lines and has arms that are proportioned like a human arm. For safety, its metal body is covered with plastic, in addition to having a crash detection system. The robot is lightweight, and can be easily transported from one workplace to another.

Although Frida still needs programming like the traditional industrial robots, and can not operate changing variable environments, its portability, dexterity makes it a vaulable tool on assembly lines.
