Mini Omni Robotic Platform

The MiniOmni is a robotic platform design for the education from high school to university, it can also be used for a research purpose, it can be a good basis in some robotic projects. The particularity of this robot is to have three omnidirectional wheels which make it having a very special kinematic (it can rotate on itself, rotate around an object by describing a circle, moving in a congested environment, …) and because the wheels are powered by servo motors the movement are very accurate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Besides the MiniOmni is doted of an Arduino based controller board which make it especially easy to learn for young students but also very efficient to make a project in a very quick time by just knowing the C language. Finally this robot is very modular, a lot of different kind of sensors can be added as well as additional plate which can be added above to use an additional controller board or a robot arm,…This last point make it totally fitting the students and researchers needs.
