Fruit picking robotic vehicles

The biggest cost in agriculture is the manual labor today. Recently a research project has started by the Carnegie Mellon University under the funding of Department of Agriculture totaling up to $10 million, in order to develop robotic vehicles that are able to pick the fruits, but the abilities of the machine will not be limited to just that. It is envisioned that it will also be able to monitor the trees and fruits to catch early signs of infection, monitor growth levels. For more, please visit the link at the below.
