In University of Texas, a new type of artificial muscle has been created, which is a lot more flexible and able to create much more torsion in comparison to the ones developed before. The muscles are able to produce about the same amount of torque as a regular electric motor. This means a lot of applications in commercial field, especially in robotics of course.
