A rural primary school in Maharashtra has stepped into the future of STEM education with the launch of a Robotics and Industry 4.0 lab powered by RoboDK and SimuSoft Technologies (Pune). Supported by Bharat Forge Ltd. through its CSR initiative, the lab at Zilla Parishad School, Jalindarnagar is the first of its kind in a rural Indian primary school.
Inaugurated in November 2025 by Dadaji Bhuse, Maharashtra’s Minister of School Education, the lab gives students hands-on experience with robotics programming, IoT, CAD, 3D printing, CNC machining, and AI kits.
Only a few years ago, the school faced closure with just three students. Today, enrollment exceeds 120 children aged 6–18, thanks to community support and the new focus on innovation.
A major factor in the transformation is RoboDK’s simulation-based software, which lets students design and test robot programs virtually—eliminating the need for expensive or hazardous hardware. “Through RoboDK, these young learners are engaging with robotics at an age when most children are just starting with computers,” said a SimuSoft Technologies representative.
The project has already gained international recognition: ZP School Jalindarnagar won the World’s Best School Prize 2025 – Community Choice Award. With ongoing collaboration between RoboDK, SimuSoft, and Bharat Forge, this model could help bring robotics education to more rural schools across India.
