These platforms handle hazardous or burdensome tasks, allowing squads and platoons to operate more safely and focus on mission execution. Self driving trucks deliver beer -

On October 20, 2016, Otto and Budweiser completed the world’s first shipment by a self driving truck. The truck drove itself for 120 miles in Colorado highways, where the driver was not at the driver seat. After autonomous cars, now driverless convoys -

A totally autonomous convoy of military vehicles has been successfully tested in Fort Hood, Texas, by the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and Lockheed Martin (also see Lockheed Martin press release) . The test included multiple vehicles of different models and was run in an environment, which included hazards and obstacles, such as road intersections, oncoming traffic, stalled and passing vehicles, pedestrians, and traffic circles in both urban and rural test areas.
