Google wants to direct robots with Android and ROS

In Google’s I/O conference last week, Google launched ROSjava, a ROS (Robot Operating System) framework in Java which is also compatible with Android devices. Using the application could make the robots more efficient and inexpensive due to taking care of much of the computing in cloud. With the android control, the robot can also get sensor data from tablets or mobile devices, when the two units connect each other.
