PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY ROBOTIC VISION TECHNOLOGIES:

Robotic VISION Technologies releases eVisionFactory 6.5 software suite

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (Dec, 19, 2013)—With more than two years invested in additional research and development, Robotic VISION Technologies (RVT), LLC has released its most advanced eVisionFactory (eVF) software suite, version 6.5.

RVT’s 6.0, released on Sept. 28, 2010, was considered a breakthrough in the field of Vision Guided Robotics (VGR) and the company followed with the release of an updated 6.0 on March 21, 2011. eVF 6.5 delivers features that offer more flexibility, employee collaboration and safety, ease of handling parts, reduced downtime, reduced cycle time, cost savings, simplicity and standardization.

“Our team of scientists and engineers have been burning the midnight oil to bring 6.5 into the marketplace,” RVT President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Weidinger said. “We’ve enhanced eVF from the plant floor up . We have said this before and want to reiterate, we are committed to offering the best products in Vision Guided Robotics.

“It’s our goal to not only produce the best VGR software platform available in the market, we also want to sell it at a price that is the best value. We’re confident eVF 6.5 accomplishes both. Customers will find that the return on investment in RVT’s 6.5 cannot be equaled.”

RVT’s eVF provides the ability to use a standard vision software program that runs on off-the-shelf computer hardware with plug-and-play components. RVT has six patents in eVF 6.5 including the single-camera 3D (SC3D), winner of the prestigious Henry Ford Technology Award. When applied to production applications for automotive assembly lines, SC3D reduces the need for precision dunnage, hard fixtures and complicated automation. eVF software is installed on several 100 applications for pack-in, pack-out, handling—dunnage to conveyor, place on to rack, decking to block and hole location assembly.

In addition, eVF 6.5 provides additional support for more high-resolution cameras, easy job setup, improvements for GigE cameras connectivity (auto reconnect, auto resolution), supports more robots, such as FANUC, KUKA and MOTOMAN (with RVT’s vision option) and comes with an option inside an RVT-designed Vision Operator Panel (VOP) with embedded eVF Extreme Core computer.

“We have focused on the technology of our company in releasing eVF version 6.5. The hard work of our scientists and engineers will reward the patience of our customers. RVT has developed a solid development cycle for its award winning eVF products,”  Weidinger said. “With the availability today of amazing computing power, eVF can and does utilize the greatest and best hardware for GPU processing, multi-threading and sensor fusion.”
